I looked up the medicine they wanted to give her, and it was for HPV (genital warts.) It said this was rare in infants. There is no way my daughter has this…my husband and I don’t have these and have only been with each other and no other person so we didn’t contract it from someone else. These bumps just showed up after a bad bowel movement that she sat in overnight. They aren’t touching the whole but are just in the area that the butt cheeks are touching each other (a moist area as is.) The pharmacist didn’t think that this was what she had either and told me not to use the medicine. Could this just be a diaper yeast infection. I’ve been looking on the net about this and her rash looks just like this. (This whole thing is very disturbing to me.) Please help me…if you know anything about this.
I didn’t question this until the pharmacist did. That’s when the pharmacist recommend that I look this up. Not going behind doctor’s back…in fact my doctor was my pediatrician and is a family friend and fellow church member.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
    last night they gave me yeast infection ointment, ive applied the dosages today to the max, it does look better but shes acting worse! =[ i cant handle seeing her in pain!!!
    shes 16 months old!

He thankfully, did not suffer with extreme illness and symptoms of Gulf War Syndrome, but he does have some minor symptoms.
      Here is the problem – our 15 yr old daughter was the first child we conceived after his return in 1991. Her older sister was born 2 weeks after his return home and she is symptom free. Mariah however has had odd things going on since birth. She has had yeast infections in her diaper rash (EVERY time she had a rash), she has had chronic UTI’s since age 3 (12-15 urinary tract infections per year to the point she no longer has pain with them). When she was an infant, I would find her with a ring of sweat around her head & body in her crib – in the winter. It reminded me of night sweats. Her siblings never had anything like this – all are very healthy.
      Okay – so this year she has been having severe lower abdominal pain. They know it’s in her GI tract, near her appendix. She has been in constant pain since May 5th, 2008. It is at a 9 or 10 out of 10 on a pain scale. She is taking 1500 mgs of vicodin a day, along with other pain meds for intestinal cramping. She is seeing a pediatric gastroenterologist at a leading children’s hospital and just had full series of biopsies of her entire GI tract and enzyme check – food allergy, appendicitis, Meckels diverticulitis and all these other conditions have been ruled out – it’s not Crohn’s, colitis, gastritis, etc… no ulcers. He can’t find anything wrong.
      We’re wondering if it’s not something related to Gulf War Syndrome – who do I contact if it is? My husband chose to enlist, my daughter did not ask for this. I can’t even begin to describe what it’s like to see her in this much pain. She is a jazz musician, an athlete, gorgeous and brilliant – she doesn’t deserve this. If you can suggest anything, please help us help her!

I tried to pump but I have a 21 month old and couldnt stay on the routine while being dizzy and passing out due to the medicine. I am now off the medicine and have tried to pump, but I am not getting anything. Maybe just a drop or two, but that is it.

        Is there anything that I can do to make my milk come back in? I can not afford formula and I can’t get any help from the government because I make 60 dollars over the limit for help.

        Also, while I was off from breastfeeding, I treated myself for a yeast infection on the nipples. My daughter had one and was treated with an anti-fungal medicine. The dr. told me to treat nipples as well. Her yeast infection cleared up and then when I started to breastfeed her again…to help increase supply….she got the yeast infection again. I treated for two weeks while on med. and then when I stopped nursing her because I couldn’t get any milk and she was starving and crying horribly because she was still hungy…the yeast infection went away again.

        Should I just start pumping (assuming I can get my milk back in) and bottle feeding her or is there something else that I can do to get rid of the yeast infection on my nipples…I have tried everything…home remedies, dr.s advice, med…everything.

        BTW: the med. I was on also decreased supply of milk it said so on bottle, but had to have it. Is it more likely than not that I won’t get it back in?
        Her yeast infection is not in her mouth (thrush). It is a diaper rash and it is severe when she gets it. I have a problem with yeast infections and I have them all the time. I can’t seem to get rid of them no matter what I try…my obgyn ran out of ideas a long time ago…LOL!

My daughters after meal has ranged from about 188 to 238. I know children tend to be higher and will call a doc anyway because I worry way to much. However, my grandfather had Type II diabetes and I have gestational diabetes so don’t take diabetes lightly. I just wanted to know if anyone knew the fasting and after meal ranges for diabetes in toddler age children. Some of the symptoms I have read have said yeast infections, thirst and always being hungry are symptoms and frequent urination. However, it’s hard to tell about the frequent urination because she is an infant and has always seemed hungry. She has had yeast infections on and off for awhile. If anyone knows can they please let me know. I’m going to call a doctor tomorrow and see what they say, but don’t have much knowledge about average levels in children. I have not found anything that tells what a normal range in children are.
          I meant she has always had frequent urination even in infancy and she has always tended to be thirsty and hungry but never gain all through infancy into toddlerhood. I didn’t think it was anything until I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes. She didn’t seem that out of the ordinary and seemed like every other child except her appetite.

But it has been 4 days now and I am freaking out. My nose got stuffed up and when that happens my taste buds just stop working I guess and so does my sense of smell. If this helps, I was born with a yeast infection of my mouth and my tonuge is always white in some area but I dont think thats a sign of a yeast infection, just something left from when I was an infant. I dont know what to do because I keep picking things up and smelling stuff or trying to eat something sweet or with a strong taste but I get no luck and my mom doesnt really care and I dont know what to do. Im kind of spazzing/freaking out. Help?

She told me to use 1/2 and 1/2 cortizone cream and monistat, once in the morning and once at night. It isn’t helping so she prescribed ketoconazole. Anyone had this problem and can offer advice and solice! I hate to use prescription meds on a 4 month old, especially when there are no studies with it on infants.

Is there any dual diagnoses for pregnancy…?
                Also I found out I had a yeast infection that hadn’t "traveled" to the opening or exterior of my vaginal canal but was deeper and affected (not infected but caused irritation) to my cervix that most likely caused excessive bleeding.

Friday evening when I changed her diaper I noticed she was slightly red around her vagina only, not her butt. I inspected it a bit just to make sure there was no discharge (I had called the emergency room because the pediatrician’s office was closed and the woman told me it could be a yeast infection and to check for discharge), while looking, I noticed it seems like she does not have a clitoris. I know this sounds odd, but I don’t know anything about the infant female vaginal anatomy (first time mom) so I am naturally curious and concerned. Is this normal? Do infant girls not develop this until later in life? Any moms know anything about this?

She seemed to outgrow it after about a year or so, though she drinks it very rarely. Lately she has been running very high fevers & I realized yesterday that everytime she had a fever, it has come after drinking milk. Two days ago, she drank milk for the entire day. She ran fever all that night & even after the fever subsided, I noticed a very weird odor in her mouth that no amount of toothbrushing could get rid of. Yesterday, she started complaining that her vagina was hurting & today I discovered she has what looks to be a yeast infection. (strong odor, rash, white discharge). It also seems the odor in her mouth is actually from thrush. Could this all be connected to the large amount of milk she drank 2 days ago? She doesnt seem to react to ice cream or cheese, just milk. Is there anything I can do at home to treat her thrush & yeast infection?

                          If this sounds like an odd question, you might not be aware that 80-85% of the worlds men are intact (not circumcised), including doctors!

                          Looking at that data, isn’t it obvious that it’s only claimed beneficial by those circumcised men and circumcised cultures to try and justify what was done to them (or what they are doing to their children)?

                          And to anyone who claims that circumcision cures infections…
                          75 percent of women get at least one yeast infection during their lifetime.
                          50 percent of women get at least one UTI during their lifetime.
                          Only 5.5% of intact (not circumcised) men get any type of infection during their lifetime.

                          With that data, it’s obvious that claims of reduced rates of infection are nothing more than a hypocritical excuse to mutilate.

                          So please… find me JUST ONE intact (not circumcised) male doctor in favor of infant male circumcision. Can you find one for me please?

But it went away and everything was fine until two days ago.

                            My son had a bit of thrash but the Dr said it was so mild he didn’t need any med.s ( he had like 3-4 little white dots on the sides of his mouth)

                            About 2 weeks ago I had a Kidney infection and went to the emergency, they gave me a big shot of antibiotics and sent be home with a regimen as well. The Dr.s in the ER were fully aware I had a nursing infant and assured me none of the Med.s were harmful to the baby.

                            I was reading online that antibiotics can cause yeast infections, I didn’t get one of those but I also read about how thrush is a yeast infection of the mucous membranes of the mouth and tongue could my antibiotics cause his thrash and his thrash cause my burning nipples.

                            I nursed all 3 of my kids until they were 10-12 months and this never happened to me before.

                            He doesn’t seem to be any pain he isn’t fussy or anything so for right now I’m just pumping most of the time so my nipples don’t hurt.
