Can a baby get a yeast infection from taking bubble baths?
Can a baby get a yeast infection from taking a bubble bath? I use the no more tears stuff and my 14 month old twin girls love to play with bubbles, but someone told me that might cause yeast infections. I never heard of this before, is it true?

I don’t think it is.
Yes.
The problem stems from the soapy solution irritating their vagina, and that can cause a yeast infection. Well, not so much cause but increase the risk of getting one.
I dont think your girls can get a yeast infection. They could get a urinary tract infection.which makes it painful to urinate.and can give them a fever. You can use bubbles just dont overdo it. too much bubble bath is what causes it . just follow the directions.
Bubble bath can cause yeast infections, but I think you’d have to be doing it on a daily basis, or even more than once a day, for it to be a problem. Maybe keep it to every 2-3 days, just to be safe.
I’m not sure if it can cause yeast infections but I know how dangerous the ingredients the FDA allows to be in body products. Check out this site (I always resort to it when I question how safe a product is): http://ewg.org/node/27699 — this talks about what is in baby products and mentions No More Tears. We all trust the FDA is looking out for the consumer but this is not the case …. it’s up to us to see what products are safe for us and especially our children to use. I’d worry about if my children can get cancer more so than a yeast infection from some of these products. I hope this helps you and opens yours and other readers’ eyes.
