Get some plain yogurt from the grocery store. Not vanilla. PLAIN

Use it as diaper rash cream directly on her skin. The bacteria in the yogurt "eat" the yeast. (It’s more complex than that, but you get the idea)

    Works like a charm.

DO NOT USE ANY OVER THE COUNTER REMEDIES FOR YEAST INFECTIONS.

Because you don’t REALLY know what that rash is, if you use the wrong cream for the wrong rash, you may do more harm than good.

    BUT…

No one ever died from smearing yogurt all over themselves. LOL!!!

    Yes, do get some aid.
Government assistance is for exactly this situation. It sounds like it’s going to be temporary, so it’s really no big deal.

    EDIT TO ADD:
Lots of rashes look like a yeast infection. It’s probably a yeast infection, but you don’t know FOR SURE…
So, better be safe than sorry until a doctor can look at it.

Have you tried yogurt? How’s the rash?

You are possibly putting her entire future of having children at risk by not treating her. At 20 months, she’ll probably qualify for medicaid, and if you don’t, then you will just have to go to a doctor, or an emergency room, and get her treated. By delaying, you can jeopardize having custody of her!

A baby should be self diagnosed by a parent. A yeast infection can be a sign of diabetic problems, an auto-immune disorder, and other serious problems, including HIV. Go and get this baby some medical care, and if you don’t, then you don’t deserve having her. Some people might recommend trying remedies from the local pharmacy, but without proper diagnosis, you could make a problem worse, and adult medications should only be used on adults.

If it is a yeast infection…im assuming a rash. You really need a perscription cream to get rid of it. After it is gone you can give her a probiotic to help her from getting it again, they help. You should really take her to the doctors, you may only have to pay for the visit, my daughter had one and the doctor gave me samples. It will get worse, and can get really bad. Diaper yeast infections are Canadia yeast…google. My sil is very against medicine of any kind. Her daughter had a yeast infection, she went to her holistic doctor(a very good one) he told her she needed to use the cream, its the onlything that will get rid of it. Then suggested using a probiotic.

You should look into getting her insurance. We live in New York and have Healthy Kids Plus. It is throught the government and ALL kids under 18 are covered. Some may have to pay something but it is a small amount. We pay 45 a month for 2 kids, and it covers most everything. Both myself and my husband work and pay for our own insurance, it is so much cheeper since we found out about Healthy Kids Plus.
