My Stubborn Yeast Infection Has Gone! Want to know my secret? Let Me Tell You ...

How to treat yeast infection?

Im 17 and I think I might have an infection. I don’t really know how to treat it. Its really bothering me, and I’m hoping I don’t have to go to the doctor about it. Will my period help it?, and what is a safe way to treat it?

Candid -b solution or cream will stop itching
If white discharge is present see a dermatologist or Gynaecologist

If this is your first yeast infection you should go to the doctor and have them treat it and talk to you about ways to prevent them and to also just check on you, but if this is not your first or you do not want to go to the doctor then just head to a drug store and buy some yeast infrection treatment perferably Monistat, read the directions carefully before use and then you should be fine.

I don’t think the period will help it. Don’t use tampons during your period. They will remove even more of the good bacteria that controls the spread of the fungus (yeast) which causes the itching. Whatever you do, do not put anti-bacterial anything on it (you want the good bacteria to overpower the yeast), or anything alkaline like baking soda, nor baby powder. Do wear loose clothing. If it doesn’t get better on it’s own, you’ll have to get an anti-fungal cream or something. Also, lay off sugar as much as possible. I learned this after having an awful yeast infection last year.
